The light filled atmospheres of modern Mexican architecture have influenced my work since first visiting Mexico City in 2004. My current work from the series, Mental Architecture, has been a way to acknowledge these environments that offer serenity, as well as, a common link between different cultural landscapes. The technique I use to paint is based off of a minimalist practice. I work to use as little paint and tools as possible and focus on my brush stokes to provide honest lines of division between contrast.
